PORT PIRIE, ALDINGA BEACH, PARAFIELD GARDENS, CHRISTIE DOWNS & KIDMAN PARK, SA

The project included the design of fourteen accessible houses on five different sites for Housing SA:

• 2 fully accessible houses at Port Pirie, one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom
• 2 Class C Adaptable houses in Aldinga Beach, one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom
• 2 Class C Adaptable houses in Parafield Gardens, one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom
• 4 Class C Adaptable houses in Christie Downs, two two-bedroom and two three-bedroom
• 4 Class C Adaptable houses in Kidman Park, three two-bedroom and one three-bedroom

The focus of this project was to provide houses suitable for disabled clients, who suffer from intellectual or physical disabilities and challenging behavioural issues.  Housing SA is working closely with Disability SA and Disability Services to identify specific client needs with housing being designed and delivered to cater for their requirements.
