The Blackwood Library Feasibility Study investigated the potential for expansion of the Library service at Blackwood. A detailed site analysis and evaluation of the existing library was undertaken, and a brief was formed based on community consultation undertaken together with URPS planning consultants. Phillips/Pilkington Architects then developed schematic building plans based on briefed areas, for the purpose of obtaining cost estimates for each different site and configuration. The aim of this study was to obtain clear and objective information to assist the Mitcham Council in determining the future direction of library services in the Blackwood area.
