ST PIUS X SCHOOL STAGE 1A, 1C & 1D

St Pius X School is located in the suburb of Windsor Gardens and is a Reception to Year 6 co-educational school, founded in 1962.

Phillips/Pilkington developed a Master Plan proposing redevelopment opportunities across the entire school site, to create flexible contemporary learning spaces with strong connections to the outdoors and maximising the potential of the built and outdoor facilities.

Following on the from the Master Plan, Stages 1A & 1C were completed in 2020, and involved the creation of 8 new Junior School General Learning Areas and breakout spaces linked to the existing McCann Building, with a lift to provide access to the first floor and upgrades to carparking at the school. 

Construction of Stage 1D was completed in 2022 and includes 7 new GLAs, multipurpose breakout spaces and a large outdoor learning terrace. The redevelopment supports collaborative learning, with adaptable, flexible and contemporary general learning areas that improve connectivity between indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
