PORT AUGUSTA SECONDARY SCHOOL

Phillips/Pilkington were engaged by DIT to undertake a new two-storey building at the Port Augusta Secondary School to address increasing enrolment pressures and facilitate moving Year 7 students to the high school. Port Augusta Secondary School is the only state government secondary school in Port Augusta.

The new Year 7 building includes 5 General Learning Areas, 3 Arts & Technology classrooms, 3 Home Economics classrooms, including 2 kitchens, a Meeting Room, Office, Teacher Preparation area, Toilets, Lift access, new Carparking and Landscaping.
The L-shaped building has created a sheltered courtyard, providing student amenity and the wide balconies providing protection from Port Augusta’s hot summers.
