WOODEND PRIMARY SCHOOL REDEVELOPMENT INCLUDING COLA

Woodend Primary School is a Reception to Year 6 school located in Sheidow Park. As part of the Department for Education (DfE) Capital Works program, a redevelopment of the school was undertaken. The development included resurfacing of the sports court in the Gym and the addition of acoustic wall treatments to adjoining classrooms, reducing sound transference between the Gym and the General Learning Areas.

The addition to the Gym of new panel doors opening onto the covered outdoor learning area (COLA) extends the Gym and provides increased undercover sporting space.

The new COLA allows for all weather sporting activities and features innovative, multi-colour Danpalon cladding for filtered shade. It provides students with refinished court facilities for a variety of sports, including basketball, netball, volleyball and badminton.

New main entrance signage and landscaping for the school creates a welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
