AVENUES COLLEGE

The Avenues College was created through the amalgamation of the Windsor Gardens Secondary School, Gilles Plains Children’s Centre, Pre-School and Primary School. The project included a new Children’s Centre, Pre-School, COLA and refurbishment of existing facilities to accommodate an R-12 cohort and associated staff, including the Wiltja program for indigenous students.

The amalgamation provided the opportunity to enhance the educational outcomes for the students in the Windsor Gardens area, giving them access to contemporary flexible learning areas with improved connectivity between indoor and outdoor learning spaces.

A central learning street was created as a focus for the Primary School with Early Learning GLAs opening directly to this activity space via large sliding glass partitions.
