ATSIC REGIONAL OFFICE, CEDUNA, SA
The ATSIC Ceduna project involved the erection of new administrative offices and Regional Council serving the Wangka-Willurara region (approximately one-third of the State of South Australia) and was completed in 1996. The building was designed to be as environmentally sustainable as possivle with the restrictive guidelines of the Commonwealth Government. Consultation with both the staff and users of the building was an important component of the design process to develope a functional building that was culturally appropriate. A significant art program involving Aborginal artists from throughout the region was a positive outcome of this consultation process, together with the creation of a series of outdoor meeting spaces.
