Innes National Park Visitor Centre

STENHOUSE BAY, SA

The commission of the new Park Headquarters at Innes National Park resulted from a design competition, won by Phillips/Pilkington Architects. The building has been designed to provide a functional working environment for National Park staff together with a welcome and orientation point for visitors. The building is located in a harsh marine environment and has utilised a combination of stone, timber and stainless steel detailing to provide a robust durable design. The building incorporates public toilets that are accessible after hours and a 24 hour visitor registration and information facility.
