FLINDERS UNIVERSITY SCIENCE & ENGINEERING COLLEGE FRONT & IDS RELOCATION

Phillips/Pilkington Architects, working with Koush Interior Design, were engaged by Flinders University for the refurbishment of the Physical Sciences building.  The refurbishment creates space for a new Science & Engineering College front, consolidating visitor and student facing services, improving utilisation of workspaces, increasing workflow efficiencies, and improving student, staff and visitor’s experience.

The Science & Engineering College front space welcomes pedestrians from Anchor Court and is visible from the Hub. The space accommodates a student support services team, business support services team and provides a shopfront for the college.  The project also includes relocation of the IDS executive team to a refurbished area located behind the existing IDS reception along the Western corridor of the Physical Sciences building.  New accessible unisex toilet facilities were created in the existing location on the ground floor.
